My readers and my friends are aware that I encourage writing letters to loved ones, both here and in the hereafter, because of the profound effect it can have. Not only can letters open greater dialogue with loved ones, letters can heal emotional wounds and help forgive, and enable us to move forward.
However, I know for all the amazing letters I’ve written and received, and for all the letters I’ve helped write or letters people have shown me, I know there are very likely twice that many that were never written. I understand …there is nothing so difficult as sitting down in front of a blank page and trying to fill it (I even have difficulty writing a grocery list at times). This is what’s known as “writer’s block.” It happens to me, too.
Writers block happens because we have so many ideas and so many things we want to say, but organizing those thoughts into something meaningful scares us. The people who haven’t written their letters all say the same thing – they want the letter to be perfect.
What if I told you it doesn’t have to be perfect? And what if I also told you that, whatever you write, it will be perfect? Start writing.
I know, it’s still not easy. So let’s make it easy. Let’s take baby steps. Let’s take a first step and write a postcard to get you started. You can choose to send it or not, but I want to get you started. If you can write 2, 3, or 4 postcards, maybe you’ll begin to see it’s not as difficult as you had thought. You might also understand the profound impact the letter writing will lead to.
Your postcard can be as brief as, “I with I’d told you how much I loved you, and I wish I had said it often.”
Take an old picture, or buy a postcard from any stationary shop or convenience store, turn it over, and write something quick. Write the thing that comes to mind and why you wanted to write the postcard. Postcards can read like bullet point memos, and that’s a great start.
Then, can I ask you to share your postcards with me? Scan them and email them to me, or mail them to me, and I would love to feature some of them on future blog entries. (My email address is angelquestevents@gmail.com, and address is Angel Quest 400 Lake Street Office E Ramsey, NJ. )
I know long form letter writing can be a challenge (though the rewards are overwhelming) so let’s start with a postcard.
Angel blessings to you!

With the world at war, gas prices rising and soaking up our disposable incomes, tornadoes and hurricanes destroying entire regions of the country, and politicians arguing incessantly, it’s no wonder Americans are reporting record levels of stress, heart attacks, and suicides. And these things don’t take into account the many distractions and sources of stress you find in your personal life. For all these reasons, Transcendental Meditation is also on the rise as people are seeking peace and calm.
Karen Noe, psychic medium and author, is recommending Transcendental Mediation to more and more of her clients. (www.throughtheeyesofanother.com)
Transcendental Meditation is a simple, natural, effortless procedure practiced 20 minutes twice each day while sitting comfortably with the eyes closed. It’s not a religion, philosophy, or lifestyle. It’s the most widely practiced, most researched, and most effective method of self-development.
The Transcendental Meditation technique allows your mind to settle inward beyond thought to experience the source of thought – pure awareness, also known as transcendental consciousness, or the unified field. This is the most silent and peaceful level of consciousness – your innermost Self. In this state of restful alertness, your brain functions with significantly greater coherence and your body gains deep rest.
In essence, Karen Noe points out, it’s about learning to relax. “Most of my work involves helping people find peace with loved ones here and in the here after. We often hang onto feelings and regret, and it causes great stress in our lives. However, there are internal sources of stress as well as external sources of stress, and Transcendental Meditation can help identify the source of your stress and then manage it.”
Recently, in fact, a study by Education journal showed students achieved improved academic achievement when practicing Transcendental Meditation. According to the study, Students who practiced the Transcendental Meditation program showed significant increases in math and English scale scores and performance level scores over a one-year period. Forty-one percent of the meditating students showed a gain of at least one performance level in math compared to 15.0% of the non-meditating controls.

Most of American and the modern world became aware of Transcendental Meditation when The Beatles began practicing the methods in the 1960s, but it has been around for thousands of years and has been practiced by millions of people throughout history. As adults looking for some relief from stress and anxiety, and for our children, a reliable meditation technique and option might be a great ally.

Meditation is a very important element if you are truly interested in connecting with the angels and your deceased loved ones. (Remember, celestial beings are energy, and energy is not always perceived with your six senses.) It is important to understand, however, to meditate every day with the intention of connecting with the heavenly realm later on in the day. In other words, do not expect to receive messages when you are quieting yourself. If you attempting to do anything besides quieting yourself, then you are not meditating. It’s like putting gas in your car; you put the gas in the car so that the car can run later in the day and in the future.
Below are some of my favorite ways to meditate before attempting to connect with my clients’ angels and loved ones:
1. Stare at candle – Stare at the flame of a candle until you cannot keep your eyes open any more. Then close your eyes and you will see the flame superimposed on your closed eyelids. When this disappears, open your eyes again, and repeat the process.
2. Count exhales – Sit in a quiet place and simply count each of your exhales until you get to 10. When you get to 10, repeat this process a few more times.
3. Feel within – Get into a comfortable position and go within and become aware of each part of the inside of your body. Start at the top of your head and work your way downward.
4. Use a Mantra – Sit with the intention of being quiet, but repeat a mantra over and over whenever your mind starts to wander. A mantra I like to use (one that Edgar Cayce used) is “Grant me a pure heart Oh God.”
5. Guided Meditation CD – if you cannot quiet your thoughts, simply use a guided meditation CD that will take you through the meditation. When I began to meditate, I used Shirley MacLaine’s CD entitled “Going Within.” I also have created guided meditation CDs that can help you to go within to clear your chakras. (You can find them on my web site at www.lucelucina.com)
If you meditate daily, you will begin to become more open to the celestial realm and will feel so much more at peace. Remember, praying is talking to God – but meditating is listening to him. In any good relationship, we need to listen as well as speak!

The Sedona Method liberates you to have, be or do whatever you desire.
On the show, Hale will talk about his new movie, “Letting Go,” and will discuss:
● Quick and easy steps anyone can take at home or at the office, to release emotional burdens, stress, and addictions instantly.
● 3 key mistakes to avoid when trying to attract or achieve what you want.

● Simple and practical tips and techniques to help you feel better now.
● Why traditional “talk” therapy often takes years to provide results and is not as effective.
Hale says, ““Part of the reason we hold onto our feelings is we think we’re justified. We’d rather be right than free of our pain and have what we want.”

Please do something for me right now. In a moment I’m going to ask you to close your eyes for 10 seconds. When you open your eyes, I want you to take 15 seconds and look around the room and make a mental note of everything green. Look all around you, up, down …everything green.
Go. 10 seconds …9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Did you see green things? Are you looking back at this blog entry? Do you remember some of the green things? Now, close yours eyes quickly and name something blue …close your eyes now!
Chances are you weren’t able to recall a single thing in the room that is blue. This is something you’ll see at business seminars and life coaching retreats to show you how our focus can limit us.
Too often I have friends and clients who are searching and seeking answers and peace, but they aren’t truly looking. I write about some amazing, life changing moments that happened to me over these many years and I had the grace to notice what was happening at the time, but had I been too busy with life in general, I would’ve missed out on my calling and some beautiful connections with souls in my life and souls that passed out of my life.
In my books, I write about losing my dear friend, Marion, and mourning her loss deeply only to be attacked, basically, a few days later by a crazy bird while I was getting the mail. So persistent and whacky was this bird, it was a definite sign she was at peace, and it brought me great contentment as well. I was able to recognize this because, at that moment, I had made a conscious decision to mourn, remember, and honor her spirit. It was painful and I was sad, but those emotions are as healthy as any happiness or laughter I’ve ever known.
It’s OK to be sad. It’s also OK to notice things around you that you might take for granted.
If you take nothing else from this blog entry, take away the fact that you need to take time for yourself every now and then. This is sometimes the best lesson I teach anyone during my sessions and seminars. Take a time out. Cherish a memory and cherish a moment in time.
When you hear a song that reminds you of someone, perhaps that someone made sure you heard the song and wants you to remember. When you open a drawer you swear you’ve opened one hundred times and you never noticed a tattered photo before, don’t chalk it up to being busy. I bet your loved one wanted you to see it at that given moment. Take a few minutes to look at these photos or listen to these songs, or whatever other sign you’re being given.
Yes, the signs and the memories are being given to you as gifts. Enjoy them. Learn to notice them and ask for more signs as well!
Now, in a few minutes I’m going to ask you again to close your eyes. This time, pretend this blog entry, no matter how you happened to click on it or read it, no matter who sent it to you, or what it meant, I’m hoping you thought of someone while reading it. Close your eyes and for 1-minute, 5-minutes, or as long as you need to, think of that person and lose yourself in your memories. That person wanted you to read this and remember.
Oh …and think of something blue.

Our deceased loved ones often come around us to let us know they are okay. When they do, they retain the personality that they had when they were still physically here. That is one of the ways you can tell if the message is really from them.
I stayed home today from work because I was not feeling well. After doing a few things that needed to be done in the house, I went to bed to take a nap. When I was asleep, I dreamt I was in a crowded place, and I heard my mother loud and clear saying,“I have an important announcement! I have an important announcement! I am here and I’m okay!”
When she was talking I knew without a doubt it was truly her speaking, and asked her, “Who are you with?” She responded in a very low voice with a name I could not hear. Then I asked her to turn up the volume and tell me again. She responded softly, “Nannie.” Nannie is what I called my grandmother, her mother.
After she spoke these words, my phone rang and woke me up. I am so thankful that it did! (If I did not wake up after the dream, I would not have remembered it.)
My Mother had this type of humor and would often make it known that she had an important thing to say when she was still here on earth. That’s why I know without a doubt that her important announcement was coming directly from her! Thank you Mom!

There’s an old saying that the month of March can come in like a lion and go out like a lamb. Or it can come in like a lamb and go out like a lion. It means that if the weather is stormy and unpleasant at the beginning of the month (like a lion), then most often the end of March will be pleasant, sunny, and warm (like a lamb). Or the opposite could happen. It’s a lovely American saying and, much like the tradition of the groundhog, it’s a comforting thought we hold dear to our hearts because we love springtime, and the nice weather that comes with spring provides us hope and optimism.
Our lives have similar ebbs and flows. We experience ups and downs, highs and lows, and sometimes we feel like a lion. while at other times we feel like lambs. But what about the afterlife and when we crossover? I can tell you from years as a medium, the lion does not follow us. In the afterlife, those you love have found peace.
And this is where I most often find my greatest sessions. That is, when I witness a restless spirit that found peace. When I can help someone connect with their loved ones and learn about this peace, I feel I am doing my greatest work.
In out own lives, it is important to be aware if we are lions or lambs. Knowing and recognizing our own spirit and moods will help us navigate all of life and its many phases. Are we lions in the morning and lambs at night? Are we lambs early in the week and lions on Friday? Which are you when you show up at a party? Or at a meeting? Or at a family gathering or holiday party? Which are you at the beginning and end of every conversation with those you love? What about with those you hardly know?
The more we focus on this yin and yang and this lion and lamb phenomenon, the more peaceful and effective we can be in all phases of our lives. I was feeling like a lamb at the beginning of this blog entry, but now I feel like a lion ready to take on life with passion and fire, yet be gentle and kind when needed.
We cannot always predict which we’ll be at any particular point, but if we know what’s happening when we’re in the moment, we can capitalize on those emotions and that spirit and seize each moment.
