How Creating a Vision Board Can Help You Move Forward After the Death of a Loved One

May 8th, 2014 → 7:15 pm @

karen blog photoWhether you want to set a goal, or just believe that what you envision will manifest itself in your life, vision boards are a wonderful way to stay on target, aligning your conscious with your subconscious and universal energy for real-world results.

A vision board is a board on which you can paste images that represent whatever you want to be, do, or have in your life. You can use pictures from magazines, old photos of yourself that represent what you want, or download illustrations from the Internet. While you could use an online program like Pinterest, I don’t recommend it because you want to be able to see your vision board multiple times a day.

After you’ve constructed your board, place it where you will see it frequently. And, as you look, try to “feel” how good it would feel if you already had whatever you placed on your vision board. Make sure the images you’ve chosen perfectly represent what you want, without leaving anything out (it’s a cosmic case of “be careful what you wish for” – so be specific!).

While you can use a vision board to achieve any goal in your life, from losing weight and getting in shape, to saving money for a kitchen remodel, I’ve found that it’s a very useful tool for moving on in your life after the death of a loved one.

A few years ago, I had a client who needed to sell her mother’s house, so I told her to do a vision board of her mother’s house with a SOLD sign in front it. Another client’s siblings were not getting along after their father died, so I told her to do a board with pictures of them all together having a good time. Another wanted to create a charity for her loved one, so I told her to do a board that depicted everything that she wished the charity would accomplish. Yet another client just wanted to be happy again.  I told him to do a board with pictures of everything that made him feel good, including his family and friends, his pets, places he wanted to visit, and his favorite hobbies. Place anything on your vision board that will make you feel good and enable you to move on in your life.

In any board you do, you may also wish to include pictures of your deceased loved ones as a wonderful reminder that they really are still around, watching over you, helping you to achieve your desired goals.

Learn How the Emotional Freedom Technique Can Help You to Heal After the Loss of a Loved One on the Next Angel Quest Radio Show On Saturday, May 3 at 1:05pm Eastern Time

April 28th, 2014 → 7:13 pm @

On the next Angel Quest Radio Show, I’ll be talking about how the Emotional Freedom Technique, or “tapping” can help you to heal your grief. The energy of negative emotions such as fear, grief, anger, jealousy, regret, and so on often gets stuck in certain acupuncture points within your body. If you tap on these acupuncture points while you are experiencing these emotions, the trapped energy will begin to shift. This movement of energy will almost always cause tremendous immediate relief from your emotional, and sometimes even physical pain!
It’s going to be a very informative show, so make sure to tune in on May 3 at 1:05pm Eastern time on www.wrcr.com. Just click on “listen live.”

I’ll be taking callers and giving away free copies of my new book, Your Life After Their Death, so if you’d like to call in to win, comment, or ask questions about the technique, the studio number is: 845-362-0013.

April 23rd, 2014 → 8:57 pm @

Karen Noé is founder of The Angel Quest Center, where she gives psychic readings, teaches classes, and practices alternative healing. In this article, she shares tips on how to tell if it’s ‘just a dream’ or if it’s a real visitation.

Ramsey, NJ – April 23, 2014 – Hay House Author and Psychic Guide Karen Noé, Founder of The Angel Quest Center, recently published an article on her website (http://www.KarenNoe.com) on requesting dream messages from deceased loved ones. In her article titled “Dream a Little Dream of Me: Receiving Messages From Deceased Loved Ones,” Noé says that visitations from deceased loved ones in dreams should always be positive.

Karen Noé writes, “When a loved one does come through in a dream, you might be left wondering if it was a real visitation or just a regular dream from your subconscious. Know that when your loved ones come through, it’s always a positive dream. A true visitation is peaceful and you will know that the individual was truly there with you. You’ll also remember the dream in detail for many years to come.”

Dream a Little Dream of Me: Receiving Messages From Deceased Loved Ones

April 21st, 2014 → 4:00 pm @

karen blog photoOne of the easiest ways for your deceased loved ones to contact you is in your dreams. You simply need to ask them to come, and they will be there for you. Make sure to also request that they wake you up afterwards, because if you don’t wake up after the dream, you may not be able to remember all of the details.

After you make your request, just be patient and wait. For whatever reason, your friends and family members on the other side may not always be able to enter your dreams immediately after your request. However, they will come when the time is right for the both of you.

Right after my mother passed away, I longed to hear her voice, so I mentally asked her to give me a chance to do so. A few days after my request, I happened to be staying home from work because I wasn’t feeling well. After doing a few things that needed to be done around the house, I went to take a nap. While I was asleep, I dreamed that I was in a crowded place, and then heard my mother’s voice come over the loud speaker, saying, “I have an important announcement! I have an important announcement!” Then there was a pause, and she continued, “I am here, and I’m okay!”

When she was talking, I knew without a doubt that it was really her, and called out, “Mom! Oh, my God! Mom, it’s you! I love you so much! Who are you with?” She responded in a very low voice with a name that I couldn’t hear, so I asked her to turn up the volume and tell me again. She then softly answered, “Nannie.”

“Nannie” is what I called my grandmother, her mother. After she spoke these words, the phone rang and woke me up, so luckily I was able to remember the entire communication. Mom would always make it known when she had something important to say while she was still here on Earth. That’s why I have no doubt that her “important announcement” was coming directly from her. After receiving the wonderful gift of her coming to me in that dream, I woke up and felt as if I’d just won the lottery!

Just a Dream? Or a True Visitation?

When a loved one does come through in a dream, you may be left wondering if it was a real visitation or just a regular dream from your subconscious. Know that when your loved ones come through, it’s always peaceful and you will know that the individual was truly there with you. You’ll also remember the dream in detail for many years to come.

Dreams from your subconscious may be frightening, or create negative emotions. You may dream of how someone suffered or died, or other types of regrets you had about that person. This type of dream is not from your loved one; it’s from your own mind trying to resolve everything that occurred while he or she was alive.

It’s vital to know the difference between a true visitation and your own mind. Otherwise, you may give far much significance to a nightmare than you should, and not enough significance to a wonderful, loving visitation!

Dream Messages from Deceased Pets

April 14th, 2014 → 3:53 pm @

karen blog photoJust like your human loved ones, your pets that have passed can also come to you in your dreams with messages. These messages are often as simple as telling you they’re still with you and love you, but sometimes they can be even more complex. My boyfriend Ken, for example, received a message from my cat, Otis in a dream that he didn’t understand at first…

“As my dream began, I noticed my buddy Otis running across the floor. I didn’t realize that I was dreaming at that moment, so it felt natural that he was with me. There was one thing that was very strange, though. Otis was running around with what appeared to be a piece of cardboard with two holes in it on his back. The cardboard looked like a hangtag that’s used for hanging items on a peg hook in a store. The moment I saw it on him, he turned toward me, ran, and jumped into my arms. His head was buried right into my cheek as he was hugging me, and that’s when I woke up.”

Ken realized that this was not a normal dream. He could feel Otis’ long fur, the warmth and weight of his body, and even felt the characteristic crusty fur on Otis’ cheeks from dried cat food as the cat rubbed against him. When Ken woke up, he remembered the dream vividly and wondered about the meaning of the hang-tag on Otis’s back.

“At first when I woke up, I thought the hangtag on Otis’s back was bizarre and didn’t understand the significance of it until I talked to Karen about the dream later that day. The funny thing is that its meaning should have been obvious to me, but for some reason I just wasn’t getting it.

A few weeks earlier, during Christmas time, I received one of the best gifts I’ve ever gotten in my life. Karen found an amazing painter named Eva, who created a beautiful portrait of Otis for me. I loved it very much, but it was so special that I was afraid to hang it up. I didn’t want it to get ruined, so it was still sitting in a safe place. After telling Karen about the dream, she recognized right away what the hangtag on Otis’s back had meant: it was his way of letting me know that it was okay for me to finally hang that picture.”

As you can see, coming through in dreams is a perfect way for your pets to get your attention if they have an important message for you! It’s also a great opportunity for them to let you know that they are still around you and are okay. Again, keep in mind that you must wake up after these dreams in order to remember them; so before you go to sleep at night, make sure to ask your departed critters to awaken you after their visit.

Many blessings to you!

xoxo

Deceased Loved Ones Can Come Through With the Perfect Song At the Perfect Time

March 17th, 2014 → 6:53 pm @

karen blog photoOur deceased loved ones love to give us signs to let us know they are with us. If we are not paying attention to the messages they are giving us, they will come in ways that we cannot ignore. In my upcoming book, “Your Life After Their Death: A Medium’s Guide to Healing After a Loss,” I talk about many of these “without a doubt” signs.

One type is when our loved ones give messages through music. Make sure to notice if your loved ones’ favorite songs, with the exact words you need to hear, come on at perfect, unexpected times. It is their way of saying, “Pay attention! I’m really with you.”

Such was the case when Rita received this type of sign right in the middle of an appointment she had with me. As her father was coming through with messages, I stopped and asked him to give Rita some definitive signs to let her know that he was around her. Right after I’d said, “Come on, please comfort her and give her a sign,” Rita’s cell phone rang. The ring tone on her phone was the song “Let It Be” by The Beatles—her favorite song. She knew it was her father, giving her the sign we had just requested. If that wasn’t enough, a few minutes later her phone rang again, and it said “Dad” on the caller ID! She tried calling the number back, but no one answered.

Rita left that day knowing her precious father truly was around her. How wonderful that he understood what we’d requested of him and gave his daughter these awesome signs on demand to make her aware of his loving presence. Now Rita is finally able to “let it be,” because she realizes that her dad really is okay and is watching over her and her family!
