I’m very excited to announce that Dr. Bernie Siegel will be my guest on the Angel Quest Radio Show this Saturday, March 3 at 1:05pm EST.
Bernie’s writings in the 12 books he has published so far reflect his passion to reach people struggling with all of life’s challenges – not just the physical ones – so that each person can live life fully with the understanding that, as Bernie reminds us, “We only have today.”
Believing that we are all here to love one another, Bernie has crafted eternal truths and the timeless wisdom of the ages into his reflections on the true stories of his patients in much of his work. Bernie’s books, which include Love, Medicine, and Miracles, Peace, Love, and Healing, and Prescriptions for Living, have broken new ground in the field of healing.
He has touched many lives all over the Planet. In 1978, he reached a national and then international audience when he began talking about patient empowerment and the choice to live fully and die in peace. As a physician who has cared for and counseled so many people whose mortality has been threatened by illness, Bernie embraces a philosophy of living and dying that stands at the forefront of the medical ethics and spiritual issues our society grapples with today.
In May of 2011, Bernie was honored by the Watkins Review of London, England, as one of the top twenty spiritually influential living people on the planet. He continues to break new ground in the field of healing, supporting changes in medical education to “humanize” medical practice. In 1989, Bernie retired from Yale as an Assistant clinical professor of general and pediatric surgery to speak to patients, their families, and caregivers.
On March 3, we’re going to talk about his latest book entitled A Book of Miracles – Inspiring True Stories of Healing, Gratitude, and Love. Compiled during his more than 30 years of practice as well as his speaking and teaching events, this uplifting collection of stories offers a cross-section of the healing and miracles Bernie has seen and facilitated.
Tune in on March 3 at 1:05pm to www.wrcr.com to hear what this amazing, inspirational man has to say. (Just click “listen live.”) Listeners are welcome to call in with any questions or comments they have for Bernie. The studio number is 845-362-0013.
Angel blessings to you!

“It’s not the snakebite that kills us; it’s the venom that’s left behind.” This old saying is so true. Our holding on to resentment and hate hurts US so much more than it does the other person. The key to true peace in our lives is to try to experience love in every situation. It’s not always easy, I know! However, it is the only way to finally free us from past negativity and hurt.
Remember though, forgiveness is much more than simply letting an offense “slide.” Forgiveness, just like love, is more action than just thoughts or words. Forgiveness empowers us to not only free ourselves from the anger and resentment that binds us; it allows us to free others from the same prison.
If you truly forgive another, a sense of relief will take over you. As you let go of judgment, you will begin to see more clearly the other person’s point of view. As a result, when you emit more energy of positivity and understanding, the storm will begin to subside, and the other person will begin to feel that peace as well. When the chains of anger have finally been broken, true healing can finally begin.
When I think about our universe, I can’t help but smile at how perfectly it was created. Even in the hardest and most hurtful situations, the universe will bring us back to the same solution…LOVE. Love is the only answer to hurt. Love is the only force that dissipates negativity and allows goodness to flow into our lives.
It is important to truly understand that love is not only about liking people who are likable. Love is about loving everyone, despite the hurt or the offense. It’s trying to see “through their eyes” to comprehend WHY they did what they did.
Revenge and anger will always have a counter attack. Yet nothing can stand against love. There is no comeback, no retaliation. Love will envelop others, and they will have to look inside themselves to figure out what to do with this new positive energy directed towards them. Although they may fight it at first, they eventually may be able to accept it. At some point, they may even be able to give it back to you! And how great would that be?
As Martin Luther King had said so perfectly, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Forgive those in your lives who have wronged you. Do it for YOU, and be free again!
Peace be with you! xoxo

New Year’s Eve is usually a time of partying, reminiscing, and making resolutions for the coming year. Because I was watching my daughter’s puppy on New Year’s Eve, I stayed at home and did something that would really benefit me in 2012. – I made a Vision Board for everything that I wanted to manifest this year. After typing out all my dreams and wishes on the computer in bold letters, I printed it all out. Then I added “happy” pictures of myself, and pasted them up on poster paper. Next, I made sure I put it in a prominent place in my house so that I would see it every day. (Whenever I glance at it now, I make sure to “feel how I would feel” when all those wishes come true!)
I know from experience that Vision Boards truly do help us to focus and achieve everything that we want, so I wanted to start the New Year off right. So why don’t you create one too? All you need to do is take the time to really think about everything you wish would occur in your life this year. Be as specific or even as general as if you wish, but make sure it feels good to you.
You can talk about your perfect job, abundance, perfect health, perfect relationships, perfect weight, etc. Then display these words in a creative way on your vision board. Make sure to include pictures of yourself in it, preferably ones in which you are smiling and look your best. Don’t forget – you will be glancing at this board for all of 2012, so you want it to be visually appealing. Also, make sure all your statements are in the present tense, such as, “I have the perfect relationship,” “I am the perfect weight,” etc., as if everything has already occurred. Your subconscious reacts to the words you write, so if you write something like, “I want the perfect relationship,” etc. – you will always want it and never attain it.
Finally, have fun doing it! If you want, you can even go and find some travel magazines and home magazines. Type some awesome quotes and print them out. You’ll find through this process that your mood will change and you’ll begin to see this beautiful life that surrounds you, waiting for you to let it in. Then as many times of the day as you’d like, stop in front of that vision board, take a deep breath, and clear your mind. Absorb quietly the life you have in front of you and be excited…. because it’s manifesting itself RIGHT NOW for you. And how wonderful is that?

I love the holidays for a multitude of reasons. I love them because family comes together, I love them because it’s a time to be grateful, and I love them because of the energy of joy that fills the air. I also love the holidays because it has a built-in positive message. A short phrase that can begin or end any conversation whether it is with a friend or a stranger is, “Happy Holidays.” That phrase always seems to draw a smile and a returned blessing from the other person.
Often, however, that happiness is momentary. Sometimes we just get caught up with the hustle and bustle of the season. Sometimes, we are actually going through a really tough time during the holidays. Family tension, a recent breakup, or the first Christmas without a loved one often leaves us in a place that is nowhere near happy. So we must ask ourselves, if happiness seems to come and go, what is something that endures? The only thing unshakable by the world is the peace within you.
There is a chapter in the book The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, which is entitled “Beyond Happiness and Unhappiness There is Peace.” He goes on to answer a question that many of us might ask which is, “Is there a difference between happiness and inner peace?” Tolle answers, “Yes. Happiness depends on conditions being perceived as positive; inner peace does not.” In other words, peace is not dependent on outside factors. In actuality, peace is a letting go of all the outside factors, situations, and judgments that make us categorize things as good or bad, positive or negative. Peace is a state that already exists within us; it is inherent in the energy and source of the universe. Tolle actually calls it your “natural state.” It is not something we have to work hard to attain, but rather a gift we just need to accept.
During the holidays, let’s not spend our energy trying to figure out whether our life is going in a positive or negative direction. True joy comes from knowing we are loved. True joy comes from being present and accepting what is. Most importantly, we know that from a heavenly perspective, there is ONLY a higher good. In other words, peaks and valleys are inherent parts of life. Instead of judging these peaks and valleys, try to see them as learning experiences. Attempt to keep your vibration high, no matter what is going on around you. That is the greatest gift you can give yourself during the holiday season. Be present in love, accept who and where you are, and let peace dominate your soul.
Peace and Angel Hugs to You and Yours:)

If I had to sum up in one word what I do for the majority of my days, that one word would be “connecting.” Connecting to the deceased, connecting to loved ones, connecting to my spiritual self, and of course, connecting to love. For most, “connecting” in our lives means connecting to friends and family. How lucky we are to live in a time where we can connect with a simple click or press of a button! Yes, I’m talking about social media. Tools like Facebook and Twitter allow us to extend our circle to the world. This may mean different things to different people, and many use these tools in a variety of ways – from business to reconnecting with their high school sweetheart. However, I like to think about these tools in different way. By increasing our reach, we can increase our influence, which means we have even more power to changes lives! So what better way to change a life than to spread a positive message through your tweets and Facebook posts!
Have you ever been sitting at your home or office when it’s raining outside and you’re not having the best of days? Suddenly you scroll down your Facebook wall and something catches your eye. Maybe it’s an inspirational quote, a picture that makes you smile, or a simple post from a friend that says “I miss you.” It seems like your whole day has taken a turn for the better. So since you’re on Facebook too, think about it, YOU have the power to change someone’s day too! There are a few ways you can do this. One, and the simplest, you can share something amazing someone else posted. Pictures, quotes, and videos are all easy to share with a couple of clicks of a button. This goes for Twitter as well, where a simple “retweet” will repost the message of positivity you want the world to know. Two, find great content on your own. It doesn’t always have to be an inspirational quote or picture, it can be an uplifting and informative blog you found. It could also be an enlightening video you saw on YouTube.
Finding the great content takes a little work, but think about the benefits. If you take a few moments every day to find something uplifting, motivational, positive, or enlightening to share with your circle, you yourself will become uplifted and enlightened. In addition, you will become a “go-to person” for positivity and love, so more people will be drawn to you. In turn, you will be helping more and more people.
Finally, you can become the “content creator.” This means that the post would be coming directly from you. Maybe a friend came over to see you when were sick and you post something like, “I was just reminded how lucky I am to have great friends.” Maybe you’re in your car and you see the most beautiful sunset. You can get your camera phone, take a picture of the sunset and post, “Sometimes we just have to stop and see how gorgeous life is.” These are simple messages, but they are real and original. Even though these take a little thought, they often have the most impact. It is understandable that everyone is at a different level as far as their social media skills, but what better way to practice than to spend a little time everyday spreading love?
Angel blessings to you!

One area that may be hampering peace in our lives often goes unnoticed. It is so engrained in our daily routine that we often don’t see it or realize it. In our quest to find peace and let go of the past, we tend to leave one string attached. That string is called JUDGMENT.
Don’t mistake this with having good judgment. That is a positive thing in our lives. Analyzing situations and making good decisions is a true blessing. It’s when judgment becomes personal that we often run into trouble. When you think about it, people are way too complex to be judged. Life is such a long, complicated story – so judging someone on one action or situation would not make any sense. Seeing through the other person’s eyes and then forgiving him or her can help us to create peace in our lives. Forgiveness is a letting go of what was done and moving forward towards a path of love – with no strings attached. Remember the saying, “It’s not the snake bite that kills you; it’s the venom that is left behind.” It is also true that our judgment of others can make us feel judged as well. If we judge others, we subconsciously think that others look at us in the same way. Let’s not waste our time on those things. Let’s walk around with a smile because not only can we spread love, but we ARE love as well.
Most importantly, stop judging yourself! Of you course we’ve made mistakes. However, we cannot be judged on a single moment in time. We are always a work in progress moving toward our best self. We must stop being so hard on ourselves and instead look forward to the greatness that lies ahead of us.
Remember that you are a beautiful soul that needs to be free and at peace. Admitting you have faults doesn’t make you bad – it makes you humble and human. Dwelling on those faults, however, is not the answer. Use that energy in a positive direction and commit to making transformative changes in your life. The results will lead to a freedom and love you’ve never experienced before.
Angel blessings to you!

Does your life really flash before your eyes in a near death situation? The simple answer is no. The better answer is that it’s way deeper than that. According to those who have had near death experiences, such as Dannion Brinkley, you literally become the characters in the movie of your life. Brinkley was pronounced dead for 28 minutes after a lightning strike on September 17th, 1975 and came back a changed man. Countless people have experienced near death experiences, and it is the common themes in their stories that confirm what most of us already know – there is an afterlife, and it’s beautiful. Near death accounts tell of the loving energy, out of body experiences, and approaching a radiant beautiful light. However, Dannion’s experience is unique in the fact that his account is one of the most detailed to date. One of the details Brinkley goes into is one that is a central aspect of my latest book – the panoramic life review. We often hear the phrase, “I saw my life flash before my eyes.” However, when one begins to make that transition from the physical world into the spiritual world, it is not so much a flash, but rather a very deep and emotional interaction.
How many times have you said to yourself, “If I only knew what he/she was thinking…” Don’t worry, you will. When your body passes into the spiritual realm, you will essentially press the replay button on the story of your life. You will travel back in time and see the thousands of people you have encountered in your lifetime. The unique and amazing part of this experience is that, unlike watching a replay on your television where you simply see characters re-enact situations, you will actually be there in that moment, experiencing everyone’s emotions are if they were your own. You will actually get to feel how your words and actions have affected all the people in your life.
My question is simply this, why do we have to wait until death or near death to experience something so positively transformative in our lives? We don’t! If you are living and reading this, please understand that the time for your panoramic life review is NOW! This is the message Brinkley has been sent back to tell us. You’re living out your life story right now – don’t wait for the replay. You have a chance in the present to release any guilt or resentment you may have in your heart. You have a chance to leave this life with no regrets.
But how? Well, like many instances in our lives, the answer is very simple – with a letter. Write your loved ones a positive letter telling them how much they mean to you and what you cherish about them. Also, speak about any regrets and resentments you may have had, and let the letter be the cleansing of those regrets and resentments. This is not the easiest thing to do, but it is “eternally” worth it. My letters to my family were not easy ones to write, but they have made all the difference, not only in our communication with each other, but in the peace that now exists between all of us. Take advantage of this fulfilling and life changing exercise while you’re here on earth. Experience your life review and try to see through the eyes of others now, before it is too late.
Angel Blessings to you.
